Choosing the right Child Care
Come and get to know us and stay for a play. This is a great way to experience our early learning programs first hand for free! Book a tour!
When considering places for children, priority is given to children who have a sibling already at O'Connell St Little Academics, and to children who live in the local community.
We also implement Government recommendations to ensure priority of access is given to children at risk of abuse or neglect, children of single parents, and children of couples who both satisfy the Work, Training, Study Test.
Enrolments are for a minimum of two days per week. This is recommended for the emotional well-being of your child. Two or more days in care provides continuity and allows children to feel a sense of confidence within their carers and their environment.
Once you have secured a place for your child at O'Connell St Little Academics Early Learning Centre, you will be given an enrolment pack.
You will also need to provide a copy of:
Fees are paid in advance. We’ll get you to set up automatic payments to make things easier. You will also need to pay one weeks’ full fees as a refundable security bond.
If you are interested in enrolling get in touch with O'Connell St Little Academics Early Learning Centre or complete the enquiry form and we will call you for a further discussion.

Orientation
At enrolment, we’ll also organise an orientation day for you and your child. This is a very important process to get your child used to the idea of attending the centre. During orientation, children are encouraged to spend as much time as they like exploring the centre, playing with other children and participating in activities, all while in the comforting presence of their parent or parents. It’s a great idea to talk about the experience with your child at home afterwards.

How much is child care at O'Connell St Little Academics ELC?
The amount that you will pay is dependent on the amount of Child Care Subsidy you receive. You can nominate your benefit to be paid to your child care provider, leaving you to pay only the "gap fee".
Your fees cover everything your child needs during their day at O'Connell St Little Academics Early Learning Centre - nappies, wipes and nappy cream, food and drinks, sunscreen, etc. We do not cut corners with the quality or quantity of these items, nor with the pedigree of the educators who care for your children. All activities, shows, incursions and other events are covered by your fees and an Educational Assessment for school readiness.
We do not charge an Enrolment Fee.
